When a new website was launched in the past, traditional site marketing strategies would often be surmoned to help it get under way. These included amongst others “harnessing the power of social media” so called. Whether it were creating a page thereof, intergrating share buttons therewith or sharing the site’s url with existing social media users within one’s personal/business cycle.
And as with any other widely commended traditional site marketing strategies, one would soon begin to witness site visits, back links and overall traffic buildup. At present however, taking advantage of social media platforms unfortunately does not prove to be a valid option still (amongst several other strategies). Not only do I again think it unlikely that many of my target niche traffic should still be subjects of renown secular social medias – but that I have over the years also learned that because these platforms are often not optimized for Christian friendliness, that it must be uncharitable to use them for any form of outreach (with the exception of evangelism).
Yes I am convinced that using such platforms for non-evangelism communications must imply that you endorse indirectly, any spiritually offensive content that any of your subjects may get exposed to while interacting with your communications thereon. This has certainly affected site traffic growth. The likeChrist Ministries has been online for many moons now but still goes without a single visit some days – with over all daily visits averaging about 1 or so. No it’s not all hopeless however, but that there is one rather safe and yet effectual strategy that I could still opt for amongst others. It is not free and called PPC (pay per click). I unfortunately do not have a budget for it at present but aim to subscribe thereto once possible. Dear God have mercy.
